EU stumbles on the low-carbon road

The European Commission wants to drop plans to enforce that emissions be changed on automobiles. The plan was for automakers to produce new cars that produced a quarter less carbon dioxide than normal cars.

This has caused a lot of concern for environmentalist.

Emissions and carbon dioxide from automobiles is believed to be one of the factors assisting the global warming effect.

The European Commission says that there should be better fuel such as biofuels and that will help the emissions on all of the cars. Environmentalists disagree. Environmentalist would like to see both better engines and better fuel.
