It’s smart not to eat red meat
Research from the University of Southampton, published in the British Medical Journal, suggests that vegetarians mature smarter than their carnivorous classmates.
The study, tracing the development of 8,000 people from birth to adulthood discovered that participants choosing a vegetarian diet had 5 more IQ points than average by the time they reached thirty years of age.
But is this the chicken or the egg?
Will not eating meat cause you to become smarter? Or do smart people avoid eating meat?
Mensa Australia CEO Trish Kennett says: “Smart people consider all aspects of life. It’s only logical that they spurn meat”.
